Leading The Industry

Our Six Step Safety Framework

From employee induction to pre-project planning, safety is at the heart of every conversation and implementation from sourcing plants, deployment of labour, and the use of equipment and specialised vehicles. EcoPlant uses every job as an opportunity to improve upon our safety efforts, ensuring top quality results in both safety and planting requirements.

Step 1 - Employee Induction

When do we communicate?
We give all new employees a comprehensive induction covering company safety requirements, safe work method statements, and the issuing of safety gear.

Step 2 - Online Resources

How do we communicate about safety?
All EcoPlant Australia safety requirements and updates are found on the company’s internal network, and is accessible at any time. Employees are given regular communications on safety methods and upgrades.

Step 3 - Pre-Work Safety Inspection

How do we prepare for site work?
In addition to apportioning resources, the pre-work safety inspection assesses risks on any new site, and discussion of strategies to reduce or eliminate safety deficiencies.

Step 4 - Site Specific Induction

How do we keep our staff safe on site?
Safety information from the pre-job inspection is prepared by site supervisor and team leaders for thorough implementation by supervisors and employees on the ground.

Step 5 - Job Safety Assessment

How do we keep our staff safe on site?
The JSA is used to identify any unforeseen risks and also incorporates new risks that may arise during the work. The JSA re-iterates the safety requirements at the beginning of each work day, reflecting the new environment.

Step 6 - Continuous Improvement

What is our approach to safety?
Using data from our worksite and daily JSAs, we feed this back into our overall workplace health and safety protocols to further enhance safety and health for employees and the greater environment.
